But the one “why” each follower of Christ has in common, is to grow in knowing God deeper, as well as to enjoy knowing Him while we wait.
Another way of saying this is “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
John Piper summarizes this extremely well. "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him."
Gods love for us is not only shown in His “yes” but also in the “not right now”. He knows our future.
The earthly things we desire, do not equate to the intimate goodness of God.
Therefore we shall worship while we wait.
